Thank you for your interest in the Lectrotab, non-hydraulic marine trim tab product. LectroTab developed this non-hydraulic, electromechanical product in order to avoid the disadvantages inherent with the hydraulic approach. The Lectrotab design advantages include:
• A tab actuator design which contains all of the actuating assembly within its own housing so there is nothing to install inside the boat.
• A non-hydraulic design which can't leak oil because there is none.
• A "no overrun" actuator design providing instant actuator start and stop for very accurate tab positioning.
• A full pivoting upper bracket for maximum installation flexibility.
• A patented ram seal which cannot be fouled by barnacle growth and a patented internal pressurization system for added watertight integrity.
• A complete non-metallic external structure which cannot corrode and will not deteriorate in the sun or under water.
• Tab controls ranging from individual rocker switches or two rocker switches in a convenient panel. Offered also is a microprocessor based, full function tab control, featuring tab position indicators, automatic dimming at night, tab retract at switch off and multiple station capability. Additionally, Lectrotab uses a similar control in a wireless format eliminating the interconnecting wires between the control and the stern of the boat. All with no separate electronics module to install or wire.
The Lectrotab installation is quick and saves space. Also, with an actuating force exceeding 700 pounds, your tabs are promptly positioned where you want them and with the Lectrotab drive train brake feature, your tabs stay put.
